Pomerania
Pomorze covers a significant area in the northern part of the Republic and Germany. Includes Pomerania, Ruegen, Pobrzeże Szczecin, Pobrzeże Koszalińskie, Gdańsk Pomerania, Pomerania Kaszuby and Lake. The boundaries of the region based on Reknicy (in the west) and the Vistula River (in the east) and, from the south, on the line and the Warty Noteci.
The larger part of Pomerania is in the Polish border, in the provinces: West and Pomeranian. Small fragments of the region are in the provinces: Lubuskie and Wielkopolskie. On the side there is a German Pomerania. Its territory is situated entirely within the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. The distinction is formed as a result of three peace conference (Tehran, Yalta, Potsdam), ending World War II.
Dominates the landscape in Pomerania, so there are numerous natural lakes. All Pomorze is in the Baltic Sea. A characteristic feature of the region is short, escaping directly into the sea the river, as Parsęta, Rega, Słupia, Łeba and Piana, and large, shallow coastal lakes, as Lebsko and Gardno. On the rivers, mainly on Słupi, there are retention basins. The largest of these is Strzegomino and deep. For the purposes of the energy used natural lakes: Kwiecko circle of Jews and Żarnowieckie. The simplest and most widespread distribution of Pomerania is divided into two main regions:
* Western Pomerania
* Gdansk Pomerania
